Business Stragedy
Hello,
One of the issues I have is strategizing the release and getting the orders, parts and pieces to orchestrate well.
I'm beggining with a strong hand so far. I have something that works, and that has been built out to almost being able to launch right off the bat, manufacturable, replicatable. The issue I have though is concerning electronics.
Specifically the PCB. I worked several years to try and develop it on my own. I even hired some people that ended up not working well, but then I ended up hiring a true professional. This was not cheap, haha. But I ended up with something that WORKED. So now I have about two units that work well, but the board has a second edition that needs to be rolled out to work and to be ready for market. I have more boards that I could solder together, but I'd need to order all of the teeny tiny components. These are not easy to put together outside a factory setting.
Which is why I need prorders, they help pay for the last bit of development. But marketing something physical benefits from physical interaction, which means more units to give out for reviews or testing, etc, etc. So, I'm in a slight strategic pickle.
I need to earn trust and preorders, but people need to be convinced enough to pitch in. This is why I'm currently focused on improving the website pics, videos, and why I'm interested in IRL marketing.
It's just one bottleneck that needs to be overcome to be able to be more effective and ultimately better in the future.
I may end up creating videos in the near future to detail more aspects and to give updates on plant health, which I think would be helpful.
The bonsai I planted is doing fairly well. It's been in the unit for about two weeks. It is experiencing some repotting shock, so some of the needles are browning, but overall it looks to be doing well and is staying green. It is supposed to be an outdoor bonsai, so I may have to end up placing it outside as it's not really meant to be indoors long term. I'll keep a log on it for information purposes.
Cheers for now,
RB
